#weirdnesssrants For many years I hid from anything that involved being in a bathing suit. I was so ashamed the world had to sacrifice their sight on such a specimen like my morbidly obese self and I didn't want to be ridiculed for my weight like I normally was. After years of mental and physical transformations, I started rocking a bikini about two years ago but I couldn't do south beach during big events. I thought only super models were allowed. I have been working on being proud of my body since it has gone through so much mental, physical and emotional. How can I continue to be abusive towards it and talk down to it? The more I hide the more I'm telling my body that strangers opinions are more powerful than all my body has overcome, and that is so horribly far from the truth. My body is the body of a champion. I still have my low points but I'm definitely making more of a conscious effort to be kind to my body. I did spring break on South Beach this year and I was humbled by the false story I had created. There were all body types, colors and sizes EVERYWHERE!!! No one was staring and pointing fingers because everyone was too caught up in their own fun. I sat there in awe and realized I belonged on the most crowded of beaches just like everyone else! It was a beautiful moment and my bikini and I will continue seeing the beaches of the world!
