Winnie Harlow est une jeune femme de 22 ans atteinte du vitiligo : une maladie chronique de l'épiderme causant une décoloration de sa peau. Cette décoloration est due à un dysfonctionnement des cellules (mélanocytes) portant les pigments (mélanine) donnant à la peau sa coloration. Pourtant ,plutôt que de complexer à cause de cela, elle en a fait sa force et est devenue mannequin. Elle porte fièrement sa différence, et montre au monde entier qu'on peut être belle et différente des standards.
