10. Utrecht (Pays-Bas) - Cornet de frites

🍟🇳🇱🍟 Happy Fry-day! 😁 #GirlEatWorld by @ememsit who is enjoying her dutch fries by the canal in Utrecht. In Netherlands, fries are often served by street vendors topped with mayonnaise or fritessaus (a low-fat alternative to mayo) and curry ketchup. They also have other unusual toppings like chopped onions and Indonesian satay sauce - which is peanut sauce! As an Indonesian, I find this very interesting 😳

11. Japon - Hanami dango

#GirlEatWorld by @pgtxl who is so lucky to be in Japan 🇯🇵 right now. Hanami dango amidst sakura blooms! This rice cake snack is so important to japanese culture there is even an emoji for it! 🍡 It's sakura season right now in Japan, which marks the beginning of spring. Since sakura season only lasts about a month (April), it became an important tradition to go to the nearest park with picnic mats and some packed food for sakura viewing - also known as Hanami. Here is a short japanese lesson for you: Hanami 花見 means "watching flowers" (hana 花 = flowers; mi 見 = eyes / to watch) and Dango means "dumplings / rice cake". Japanese eats dango as snack all-year round, but this variation with pink, white and green is traditionally eaten during Hanami season. The pink color comes from azuki (red bean) and the green is from green tea 🍵! It must be so beautiful in Japan right now 🍃🌸🌸🍡🌸🌸🍃 #RealLifeEmoji

#girleatworld by @milashok. Gelato at Duomo di Milano in Milan, Italy 🇮🇹 This gothic cathedral took centuries to be completed, from 1386 to 1965 to be exact, with names like Napoleon Bonaparte being one of its sponsors. It is now the largest church in Italy!

13. Macao (Chine) - Pastel de nata

#GirlEatWorld Portuguese eggtart in Macau at the ruins of St Paul by @sceetheworld and @ricardo.rivero. A former portuguese colony, the influence of Portugal can still be felt strongly throughout Macau in form of historic landmarks and food, like this eggtart! Nowadays Macau is best known as the center of gambling in Asia with its variety of casinos, including the likes of The Venetian, MGM and Sands. But don't undermine Macau- though it is small in size, the gambling industry overtook Vegas in 2007 and as of 2014 it has grown to be seven times bigger than Las Vegas strip! 🎲💎🃏💵💰

{#WeEatWorld} by @intangramm - A lobster roll in front of Flatiron building in New York City! Thanks for the amazing shot @intangramm! And today we remember 9/11 🇺🇸 I lived in Los Angeles at the time of the attack, and only just found out while walking to school that morning. I remember watching in horror from a classroom TV as the first tower fell, then looking at my teacher who was just equally speechless as the rest of the class...

Happy Sunday! I spent the weekend doing my first #liveaboard on MV Nautica. We sailed from Singapore on friday night and woke up at Tioman island in #Malaysia, where we did five dives around the area. This is one of the dive sites, called Pulau Labas, made of entirely rocks. It was AMAZING! 😍 #diveyourchoice #nauticadiving #scubadiving #diving
